I clean when I'm frustrated

Good evening blogging world!
This be Kris, the pirate. I just swept my room. It was a totally unsatisfying frustration clean but I shall take what I can get.

(sorry about the pirate comment, it was totally uncalled for)

So I'm a little frustrated as of late. I have compromised my morals! Some one break out the gun and shoot me in the face. This is really hard to admit. I mean I just told about a million people that I let some one change me just because I thought for a mili second that it was more fun. *gasp*

I'm not being sarcastic. Although I'm very much in the mood at the moment. Mostly I'm just disgruntled. I told myself that I would never be that kind of person. You know the type I'm speaking of. Some one who is a certain way and you know that they have all these morals and specific values and the next thing you know they're changing everything about themselves because they think it will be easier, or some rubbish like that.

Don't ask me why I felt the need to change for some one else. I don't enjoy the sound of curse words coming out of my mouth. Nor do I enjoy being completely uninhibited by alcohol. I also don't normally go around telling people that it's okay to be this way. Unfortunately about three days ago I was a walking billboard for that lifestyle. Now I'm not saying that you can't do those things. I'm just saying that I choose not to be that way. And I won't let some one create the desire to be such a person inside me.

I happen to like who I am very much. I'm a bit prudish but if you take the time to get to know my I can tell you exactly why I am that way. I have nothing to explain. I'm a follower of Christ and I happen to like my lifestyle very much. Glory be to God, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made ; Hallelujah.

*winks* You know, not that I think about it I really like being me. And I really don't want to be you. Nothing against you or anything, I'm just pretty comfortable in the skin I've got on and yours looks itchy.

Here I lay my Eb [enezer]

By the picture I am sure that you will be able to guess what has happened to me recently. My poor Eb was sick...he was obviously feeling a bit deflated so I was forced to take him to the car doctor. I actually had to call the emergancy service (AAA *cough *cough). Fuzzy camo hat man was very nice to come out so quickly and change Eb's passenger front tire into a donut... But there was one problem. I can't drive to work on a donut...I need my coffee in the mornings. So...I called Goodyear.

When I arrived at Goodyear, at 7:30 in the morning, they politely told me they won't be able to fit me in after I had already asked them the night before if they could, which they replied yes to. I was obviously flustered seeing as I had just used up precious donut driving time getting to the auto parts place thingy. After whining my way into a spot on their busy schedule I sat down to have some coffee...

I will never understand auto repair shop waiting lobbies. First you are surrounded by adds for tires....treads....breaks...etc...all claiming to "Protect your precious cargo." The most precious cargo I carry in my car is my laundry....I am so grateful I have Goodyear tires so that it will be protected...*whew* Next there is the coffee pot. Now there is nothing wrong with this....as aforementioned I am in dire need of this liquid life in the mornings...but why must it be so overly watered down... Must they put at least three extra cups of water just to prolong the time between rebrew?

Third there are the magazines. As a women I dont have any particular interest in Auto parts monthly. Nor does Midwest Hunter spark my interest. But I must say, as a 20 year old college student I'm just dying to get my hands on the August issue of Minnesota Homemaker!

And last but not least, the akward stares from older people. Apparently college students are unable to take care of themselves and therefore must be coddled. I stood in line at the auto store for several minutes. Each person in line felt they needed to give me some sort of advice. One man came up to me and said "Don't let that holy roller fool ya..."

My first thought was..."What the.."

Buy I decided to let it slide and took my place at the register. Turns out, the man was a christian. Just my luck, his wife was going to attend the college I go to (a Christian Private college in the boonies) so he thought he might be able to squeeze me in. Apparently the man in line behind me thought he was going to swindle me. But exactly the opposite, I got a better deal!

I learned something very valuable today...

Never drink Auto part store coffee *ugh*

P.s Ebenezer is just fine now. He has recovered remarkably and has even taken a short swift jaunt to Holiday...Hoorah!
