Naughty Kris

Woops -
I realize that I've gone missing for several weeks and that all two of my posters are completely and utterly devastated to the point of suicide. For this I appologize and will attempt to make it up to them by writing something interesting in the space below...

I know what some people would do in this situation. They would do exactly that just to be witty and funny, but I am neither so I will refrain from actually writing the words "something interesting" in the space below. Although it was terribly tempting and I had to give myself a pep talk not to do this.

I am in Iowa... Yes ye ol' Ioway the land of corn and other things that have no significance. (seriously who eats corn...) The only good thing about Iowa is (besides my mom's family) Ames. No not the town the person. Ames is my best friend, and we've known each other for 14 years. That's what happens when you live a mile away from each other in the boonies of SD. I remember meeting her for the first time ever...(that weird creepy music from the movies during flashbacks whould play now...)

My mom informed me one summer that a new family moved in down the road and that we were going to visit. I do not normally enjoy such exstentions of hospitality but since i was all of 6 i tagged along. When we arrived the first thing i noticed was the bikes...which meant kids... This made me excited since I am practically and only child and my older siblings hate me. The lady and her oldest daughter came out of the house to received aforementioned hospitality and my first thought was "My new neighbor is chinese..."

Now before we move on I'm going to say very firmly and in my nicest blog voice. I am not racist and in no way do i normally associate certain features to certain people but I was young and you must excuse me.

The girl was clearly caucasian except for her very almond shaped eyes, so through the duration of the long and extremely akward hospitality visit I couldn't help but think that she was Chinese and I voiced said opinion to my mother on the way home. She promtly gave me "the look" which deserves a post of its own and I spoke no more of the new chinese girl on the block...

I'll have you know that my friend has been informed of this and still loves me thank god...I love her almondy chinesey eyes...

I hope I can comment on this even though I am not a member of this thing known as blogging...
